Dallas Goes International with New Online Presence

Dallas Eco Dev Brief

The Brief

Dallas’ Office of Economic Development is the army on the front-lines in bringing new business opportunity to North Texas — and what a battle they have to fight.

And they had a big challenge for Aria: reach an unbelievably vast and disparate market with unique needs — and in a lot of cases, languages — as efficiently as possible, driving each segment, on-site, to a specific transaction, without losing them, or anyone else along the way.

Dallas OED’s audience ranged from international business investors, to national retailers, to the moms-and-pops who made Dallas what it is today.

Our Role Became More Pathfinder Than Designer

We quickly understood that our role in this process was to act as way-finder, creating appropriate landmarks along the path to a conversation with Dallas OED staff.

With many hours of discovery, conducted over the course of three weeks, Aria proposed a new website direction for OED, which centered on a new brand aesthetic. Away from Dallas’ established logo and image, the Economic team was able to launch from a fresh platform.

How’d We Do?

“More than a new website, Aria helped Dallas Office of Economic Development create a new platform for communicating directly with its vast audience.”
