September 02, 2011 Dallas Business Journal: Aria focuses on results

We’re honored to be featured in the 9/2/2011 edition of Dallas Business Journal’s Enterprise Zone. Enterprise Zone focuses on unique and rapidly growing firms with 10 or more employees and million dollar revenues. From our founding in 2000 to interviews with one of our largest clients, the article tells the Aria story quite well and comprehensively.

Excerpt:

Regardless of what the client needs, Aria’s employees have the technical skill to create the best product for it, [Thompson] said. “A lot of companies will reel you in by bringing their A-team to present, but then they’ll give the task to their B-team to complete. We don’t have to do that,” [Thompson] said.

Aria has certainly picked a unique staff. Take Mikon Haaksman, a Dutch-born former L.A. filmmaker who worked on The X-Files and Enemy of the State and directed several of his own films. He now does videos for Aria. Or Jordan Wollman, whose title is both “Jedi master” and executive creative director, who used to be the DJ at Club One in Deep Ellum and own a record store.

“We have high diversity so we can think radically differently,” he said. “On any given day, any of our employees could be acting as vice president or an intern. We do what it takes.”
